Standards explained

Specified,
not just sold.

Every product page names the standard it helps you meet. Here is what each one asks for — in plain language.

US construction

OSHA 1926.150 Subpart F

Housekeeping and walkway clearance on US construction sites — the rule most often cited when cables are found on the floor.

Safety HooksCable Guards

UK wiring regulations

BS 7671:2018

Support of temporary cable runs; the IET Wiring Regulations require cables to be supported so they cannot be damaged or cause a hazard.

Safety HooksSafety Hook Light

Fire behaviour

CPR / NEN 8012:2015

Fire behaviour of cable support in buildings and plants — why the hook itself must not add fuel load.

Safety Hook Extreme

Flame retardancy

UL 94 V-0

The hook material self-extinguishes within seconds and does not drip burning particles.

Safety Hook Extreme

Work at height

EN 1263-1 · DROPS

Safety nets and dropped-object prevention for work at height and offshore; DROPS recommended practice for secondary retention.

Safety netsLanyardsCombi Net

Guard rails and gates

ISO 14122-3

Permanent means of access to machinery — the self-closing safety gate exceeds its requirements with a 180 kg impact load.

Self-Closing Gate

Slip resistance

DIN 51130 · R11

Certified slip resistance of the Walkway Mat on elevated gratings, with drainage class V10.

Walkway Mat

Zoned areas

ATEX-ready materials

Non-conductive, non-sparking PBT for zoned areas — the site classification applies; we supply the material data.

Frequently asked questions

The questions
we get every week.

All 18 questions
Why can't I see prices?

CableSafe sells through authorised distributors and project pricing. Public prices would undercut the people who stock, deliver and support you locally. Send the list — you get a quote within one working day, or your distributor's pricing if you have an account.

Can I request a quote for several products at once?

Yes. Every product page has "Request a quote". It adds the article and quantity to one list; the list suggests items that usually ship together. One send, one quote.

Which size do I need for welding cable?

A typical 70 mm² welding lead weighs about 0.9 kg per metre. Four leads at 3 m spacing need roughly 14 kg per hook with margin — a 6 in (40 kg) is enough; sites usually standardise on 9 in for headroom.

Are Safety Hooks suitable for ATEX zones?

The body is non-conductive, non-sparking PBT. Whether a product may be used in a zone depends on the site's classification — the material sheet and DoC give the data your safety officer needs.

How fast can you deliver?

Stock items dispatch the next working day from the nearest warehouse. Turnaround orders can be split-shipped.

Can I download datasheets without an account?

Yes — no account needed. Leave your name, company and work email once and every datasheet, declaration of conformity and drawing on the site opens for you. Only prices require a quote request or a distributor login.
