A manhole entry barrier is an adjustable aluminium frame that closes an open manhole during maintenance, inspection and installation work. It physically stops unauthorised or accidental entry, carries the warning signage required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 for permit-required confined spaces, and keeps weather, debris and pests out. One barrier adjusts across a range of opening sizes thanks to M16 feet on swivel bases; seven size ranges cover 25 to 200 cm. Optional locks make it part of a Lockout-Tagout procedure.

An open manhole in a work area is a fall hazard and an unauthorised confined-space entry risk. The barrier warns, restricts access and physically prevents accidental entry — required under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 for permit-required confined spaces.
It is adjustable in length, so one product covers a range of manhole sizes and materials, and it is set up by one person without tools. Fixed cross barriers fit one size only.
Measure the opening. Sizes with a 15 cm sign cover 25–45 and 45–64 cm; sizes with a 20 cm sign cover 64–83, 83–112, 112–141, 141–170 and 170–200 cm. Custom sizes are possible.
