What is a ladder guard?

A ladder guard is a lockable plate that hooks over the rungs of a fixed ladder to prevent unauthorised access. It restricts who can climb the ladder on site, locks at the front or the rear through a stainless-steel padlock bracket, and makes it obvious that the ladder is out of use. It fits ladders with an internal rung width of 250 to 450 mm.

Which size do I need?

Pick the hook by the heaviest single load it will carry, not by hose diameter alone. The static load in the table is the figure to work with; when the load is dynamic or shock-loaded, ask us to check the application first.

How is the ladder guard installed?

Hook it over the rungs at the bottom of the ladder and close the padlock through the stainless-steel bracket at the front or the rear. Removing it takes as long as opening the padlock.

Is a padlock included?
