Designed with complete safety in mind, CableSafe Temporary Covers provide fall-in protection while you perform various functions with a manhole or handhole lid removed. Our manhole covers are lightweight, yet very strong. The manhole covers are constructed from environmentally stabilized and high impact resistant polyethylene. The manhole frames are strong enough to support over 300 lbs. of direct weight. To prevent yourself from dangerous situations, you definitely need a temporary manhole cover.

The temporary covers for manholes and handholes feature openings along the edge that are large enough to accommodate cables extending out of the hole, as well as two hand openings for easy transport, placement, and round manhole cover removal, making them very user-friendly. Splicing crews working inside splicing trailers beside a manhole often require additional fall-in protection for both the public and crew members, which is where manhole frames, also known as drain covers or access covers, come in.
