THE SITUATION ON SITE
A production floor is a high-traffic environment by design: forklifts, pallet trucks, AGVs and foot traffic all move through the same aisles, often on a tight schedule between shift changes. Any temporary cable or hose crossing that traffic – for a line changeover, a robot cell install, or portable equipment – is a hazard the moment it’s on the floor.
Manufacturing also brings its own dropped-objects exposure on mezzanines, overhead conveyors and elevated maintenance platforms above the production line, where a dropped tool can damage equipment or strike an operator working below.
